Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0

The Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 was first made by EXIN, the company in Barcelona, Spain in a collaboration with, briefly Tri-ang Scalextric during the late 1960s and then throughout the 1970s with the UK owner and manufacturer of Scalextric, Rovex Ltd at Westwood, Margate, in the UK, to use the brand name ‘Scalextric’. This arrangement carried into the 1980s when EXIN acquired the rights to produce Scalextric in Spain, Mexico and Russia. However, no tooling had been shared between the two companies though selected items of each other’s product ranges had been available in each other’s catalogues. The tooling for this model, the Carrera RSR 3.0, was also share with the EXIN factory in Mexico. The Spanish and Mexican versions were produced throughout the 1970s and into the 1980s in Spain. The Spanish tooled model has been periodically released in Spain under various ownerships since.

It was not until 2022 that Hornby Scalextric produced this model!
